About the artist:
This prize winning tin work has been shown at the Santa Fe Museum of
Fine Arts, the Sculpture & Objects of Fine Art (S.O.F.A.) show in Chicago,
at The Craft Alliance in St. Louis, Missouri and, annually, at Taos Invites
Taos, a major exhibition that is the highlight of the Taos Fall Arts
Festival.
Artist's Background:
Jeanne's singular tin work is a combination of her Industrial Design and Fine Art background. She spent 30 years as a designer, graphics & interiors, in New York City before moving to the southwest in 1995 where she presently shows & works. She is a graduate of Pratt Institute and her east coast design work has been recognized in the New York Times and Occulus a NY Architecture magazine.
Jeanne has taken traditional New Mexican and Spanish Colonial tinwork into a unique contemporary realm for today's market and has private collectors throughout the US, Europe and Asia. The main body of her work is shown at Las Comadres Gallery in Taos, New Mexico where she resides.
